Diáspora Disco #4; Miriam Makeba Edit.

In December of 2023, when I made the poster for Diáspora Disco edition 4, we paid tribute to the enormous and eternal Miriam Makeba, but we also took the opportunity to make a visual reference to what was happening in Gaza. Today, (I’m writing this ins July) 7 months later, nothing has changed. We continue to watch from the sidelines as a genocide is carried out with the most pathetic excuses. Our world is gone; we need to be concerned with what we are doing here from a perspective far beyond the trivialities of our daily lives and individual context. This also applies to discussions about AI and its impacts—look at the bigger picture.
